Nectar Farms is an agri-business dedicated to transforming the current Australian farming model through promotion of glasshouse farming. Founded in 2014 on the belief that successful agri-business can work hand-in-hand with the local community, whilst also safeguarding the environment, our “smart farming” system focuses on glasshouses, hydroponics and high-wire cultivation.

Stephen Sasse, Managing Director & CEO
Stephen has had a distinguished and successful career in blue chip global and multinational companies, including Shell, ICI, National Foods, Goodman Fielder, Transfield and the Leighton Group. As CEO and Executive Director Stephen is an experienced industry professional who is leading the Nectar Farms team, driving the implementation and delivery of the business plan to full operational activity.
Stephen enjoys a reputation for integrity; an energetic, decisive and pragmatic leadership style and an unparalleled track record in the delivery of significant improvements in organsiational design and development; business strategy; safety performance and labour productivity outcomes.
Stephen holds a First Class Honours degree in Arts from the University of Melbourne.
Malcolm Davis | Partner | Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety at Mills Oakley Law Firm
Malcolm has been in private legal practice for more than 30 years, 25 years as a partner specialising in workplace relations, employment and safety, principally for the construction industry.
He is currently a partner of Australia's fastest growing national commercial law firm, Mills Oakley, acting as a trusted advisor to major corporations, their senior executives and boards in relation to matters as diverse as; executive remuneration, employment claims, directors duties, and the representation of corporations and their officers and directors in contentious matters such as - Royal Commissions, Senate Investigations, Ministerial Enquiries, AFP investigations into Bribery of Foreign Officials and the defence of Work Health and Safety prosecutions.
Malcolm has had a long standing interest in assisting corporations (Public and Private) to develop strategies for the introduction of significant workplace changes, including the development of strategies for the application and adoption of non-traditional labour deployment models to provide businesses with greater workforce flexibility, improved productivity and greater alignment of interests between workers and employers.
Malcolm holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Economics and is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales.
Wrixson Gasteen Independent Non-executive Director
Mr Gasteen is a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of ASX listed Central Petroleum Limited.
He has over 20 years experience as CEO and Director of both listed and private companies in Australia, Asia and the United States and is a senior advisor to Australian companies.
Mr Gasteen is a director and co-founder of Ikon Corporate (Singapore), established in 2007 to provide corporate advisory, capital raising and management consulting services.
As CEO and Director of Hong Leong Asia, listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX: HLA), he transformed the company through acquisitions and organic growth. The result was a highly profitable conglomerate with $2.2 billion in sales, 80% of which were in China. While in that role, he served as director at Tasek Corporation (listed on the Malaysian stock exchange) and also as chairman and president of China Yuchai International (listed on the New York Stock Exchange), a manufacturer of diesel engines.
Miles Sterrick | Founder & Major Shareholder
Miles Sterrick is the Founder of Nectar Farms. Miles and his business partners were instrumental in developing the Nectar Farms concept and ultimately bringing the project to life. He is also a founding partner of corporate advisory firm Black Bamboo Advisory, with 25 years experience in capital markets and business development, and a keen eye for identifying globally competitive opportunities and building deep, long-term relationships with clients. His network of international associates provides Black Bamboos' clients with opportunities for global business expansion, with a particular focus on the Asia Pacific region.
Miles has a B.A. in Accountancy and Finance from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, subsequently training as a Chartered Accountant and working with high-profile clients globally. He moved into investment banking, at Macquarie Bank and Bankers Trust, growing both businesses' retail stockbroking operations from the ground up. In these two roles he led teams that raised more than A$500m in IPOs.
